From Liberia By Car

This will be about a 5 hour trip, not including your wait time for the ferry.
Although it is not necessary to have a 4×4 during the dry months from Dec.-April, we strongly recommend having a small 4×4 due to poor road conditions that you will encounter in our area throughout the year. Also, a detailed map is helpful, or secure a rental car with a GPS unit, as our roads lack signage to help you along the way.

You will drive south towards Guardia, then continue to Santa Cruz, Nicoya, towards Carmona, Jicaral, Lepanto, then Playa Naranjo. You will continue along the same road through Paquera, Tambor, then Cobano. Follow the signs to “Santa Teresa/Mal Pais”.

When you reach the crossroads separating Mal Pais and Santa Teresa, you will take a right, drive about ¼ mile, we will be your very next right hand turn. You will see our sign (Soleil-Casas-Villas) as well as a small restaurant called Tacos and Soda Piedras on the corner of our street. Make a right turn we will be up the road about 20 meters, please make another right and continue straight to the gate, our reception is on the side of the garage by the parking area.

This will be about a 5 hour trip, not including your wait time for the ferry. We recommend getting to the ferry early, because space is limited and it is on a first come, first serve basis.
